““Our care for leather garments goes beyond the simple manufacturing and is expressed in an in-depth and constant research.
Our collections are made entirely in Italy and are manufactured by highly talented master craftsmen with years of experience.”
Our company was established in Florence, Tuscany, in 1975. Our company was established in Florence, Tuscany, in 1975. It has been manufacturing goods since then, employing a long-standing heritage of knowledge. Tuscany, and especially Florence, are renowned worldwide for the manufacturing of leather garments. Here, leather processing has deep roots and is based on secrets and manual skills passed down from generation to generation. Each Stewart garment is handmade and is thought and designed to last and to age with the grace and beauty that only a unique item can offer. We strive to keep distinguishing ourselves for our authenticity and our “handmade” quality, attributes that today are often overlooked. Our keywords are: simplicity, quality and character. Our garments do not follow fleeting fashion trends, but are made to live with us, day after day.
TRADITION AND MADE IN ITALY
“Italy is one of the leading countries in the manufacturing of leather goods, shoes and accessories and Tuscany is the most renowned and esteemed region thanks to its unique heritage of skills from which originates an unparalleled quality. Great experience in the manufacturing of bags, shoes, jackets, as well as wallets, belts and other leather accessories.”“
One of the most frequently asked questions by our clients is: The first thing to understand is that Italian-made goods are not expensive, they are precious, and they have an intrinsic value that needs to be protected. Each jacket is made with carefully selected and premium quality leather, tanned by hand and subjected to a long process of treatments to achieve that “lived-in” and “vintage” look. Each piece is the product of a long and careful process. The Florentine craftsmen have been working in this field for centuries, passing down the art and Italy has always been famous for this excellence. Florence, in particular, is the industry’s most renowned manufacturing district and the most important fashion houses use almost exclusively Tuscan leather.
It is also thanks to the many Italian brands that dominate the fashion industry and that rely on the leather goods manufacturers of our region, if Italian leather is associated with high quality, aesthetic sense and good taste.
Stewart garments are synonymous with elegance, harmony and tradition. Stewart pieces belong to different collections, refined, unique, extremely elegant and luxurious, but also easy to wear and versatile. Stewart is 100% made in Italy, both in the raw materials and in the production processes.
Our manufacturing process is laborious and complex: each jacket is handmade by one of our craftsmen. We want each and every garment that leaves our factory to become a precious companion, made to last a lifetime and designed specifically for a customer that appreciates craftsmanship of the highest quality. Our team of experts values and shares the passion for authenticity and genuine leather. Our goal is to create classic and innovative pieces by using only the best materials and traditional manufacturing techniques, in order to devote the utmost attention to the finishing details. Quality is also expressed with high levels of comfort and functionality, to best satisfy the demands of modern times.
The inspiration that constitutes the basis of our models originates from years of history. We have always been looking back, at military jackets, at aviator jackets, at movie icons, to transfer those same values and details to fashion lovers, to the next generations. With Stewart was also created and developed a Vintage Historical Archive, with which the company is currently collaborating, that has more than 13,000 pieces (from 1920 on) that tell the story of the jacket and constitute a treasure that many designers use as their main inspiration. “We at Stewart will always be pursuing perfection and we hope to have the chance of growing with all of those that will choose to live with our garments, with our history and ideals, thus establishing long-lasting relationships”.
